Projects from the World Bank

According to a report from the World Bank, micro-grid is a more feasible solution for medium power demand than main grid and off-grid solar home systems for areas with high population density. Globally, at least 19,000 installed micro grids provide electricity to about 47 million people in 134 countries with a total investment of US $28 billion. Zonergy is a global project equipment partner of the World Bank. It has contracted five World Bank projects – BADIN, JPMC, NICH, UJAWAL, and TMK in Sindhi and Baluchistan in Pakistan – with a total capacity of 5 MW.

Zonergy was the first domestic enterprise approved as a “National Golden Sun Demonstration Project in the Telecommunications Industry,” and has assumed a leading position in the new energy field of the global telecommunications industry. More than 10,000 communication base stations globally are powered with new energy supply built by Zonergy. The company has established cooperative relations with China Tower and installed photovoltaic storage equipment on the tower site in an effort to help it reduce its operating cost and ensure safe, stable and sustainable operation of the base station equipment.

The 1.27 MW solar photovoltaic power station installed in Hi-tech Park in Nanshan, Shenzhen is a National Golden Sun Demonstration project invested and built by Zonergy. The project has an effective installation area of 16,263 square meters and an annual average power generation of 1,453,400 kWh. Within its working life (25 years), the power station will save 12,700 tons of standard coal and prevent 31,000 tons of carbon emissions.

The installed capacity of the Solar Power Generation Project of Training Centre of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is 351 kW. Zonergy participated in the project construction as the main contractor and completed the project as soon as possible after overcoming difficulties arising from the pandemic and other reasons. The project is expected to generate 494,000 kWh of electricity per year. Within its designed service life of 25 years, it will prevent a total of 4,920 tons of carbon emissions, making a positive contribution to Pakistan’s energy transformation.
